What Is Moatbot?
Moatbot is Moat's autonomous web-crawling robot, which periodically visits websites across the web, and collects information about the display ads that it finds. We crawl the web from a cluster of computers, accessing pages from thousands of publishers each day.
The information collected by Moatbot is aggregated and analyzed, and is used to power Moat Ad Search - a free tool which makes it easy to find what display ads are currently running and where they have been found.
This data enables advertisers and publishers alike to better understand the digital advertising landscape.
